Learn how to make transactions on your IPOS soft Point-Of-Sale Terminal

Making transactions with IPOS soft is quick and simple. IPOS soft is a Mobile Point-Of-Sale (MPOS) terminal allowing you to make both cash and card transactions with ease all from your Android smartphone. Read our User Guide below to learn more.

1. SIGNING INTO SWIMTM ID

If you see your account on the screen, tap the name and move on to with payment. When signing into your SWIMTM ID (User Account) you will have four options down the bottom of the screen. REGISTER: Creating a completely new user SIGNUP: User already has a SWIMTM ID ACTIVATE USER: Primary Account issues new Secondary Account DEACTIVATE USER: Primary Account makes a Secondary Account inactive

2. CHOOSE THE TRANSACTION TYPE

When using the your Mobile Point-Of-Sale, IPOS soft, you will be given the option to choose between “SALE”, “REFUND” and “VOID” transactions. SALE: To complete a purchase of a product or service REFUND: To refund a purchase of a product or service VOID: To cancel or void a purchase This User Guide will be showing you how to complete a “SALE” transaction.

3. SELECT THE TRANSACTION AMOUNT (£)

Enter the amount of how much you will be charging the consumer for this transaction. IPOS soft and contactless payments have a limit of £40 per transaction. If your products and services are £40+, check out IPOS bric.

4. ENTER THE PAYMENT REFERENCE AND PAYMENT TYPE

Entering the Payment Reference gives both the merchant and the customer more clarity about what they have sold/purchased for statement purposes. IPOS soft gives merchants the ability to make both tap-to-phone Card (present & not-present) and Cash transactions. This User Guide will be showing you how to make a card transaction.

5. ENTER A GRATUITY AMOUNT (OPTIONAL)

Your new Mobile Point-Of-Sale app gives consumers the opportunity to give ‘gratitude’ (tip) to you the merchant. This is an option and amount that the merchant and customer can agree upon. For this User Guide the ‘Gratuity Amount’ has been set for 15%.

6. COMPLETE PAYMENT PROCESS

The purchase is now ready to be complete by card! Please ask your customer to place their contactless method of payment on the back of your mobile device. The purchase will be approved within seconds.
