ESG Value

Create higher value for your business by focusing on your Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) proposition – how does IPOSUP help strengthen your ESG Value?

ESG Value

E – Environmental

As a micro business you do not take payments every minute of the day: So, share your IPOS pad card reader between staff as well as your neighbouring micro-businesses without the slightest security concern. IPOS pad card readers are automatically reconfigured with security keys every time new business IPOSUP App user connects to IPOS pad.

Help the environment by cutting down fewer trees by giving email or SMS text electronic-receipts to cardholders, who only need to provide their email or mobile number on the first IPOSUP merchant transaction they ever perform with their cards. Cardholders are automatically prompted with the same email/mobile number for subsequent card transactions.

If you unfortunately stop trading, then just give or sell your IPOS pad card reader to a friend or acquaintance micro-business or sell it via Amazon/Ebay! No need to throw away a perfectly good working IPOS pad card reader!

S – Social

You can select from a large number of well-known charities during registration for your cardholders as well as optionally your micro-business to donate pennies for every card transaction.

Pennies and IPOSUP

As leaders in the UK micro-donation movement, fintech charity Pennies continues to grow the ways consumers can give a few digital pennies to charity, and that includes emerging payments channels.

Historically, Pennies have worked best with brands and large to medium businesses that have the means to collect thousands of customers’ donations each year. Now for the first time, Pennies’ partnership with IPOSUP presents a model to allow ‘micro-merchants’ (small businesses and sole traders) to also collect and aggregate customer donations in the same way for charities.

Charities: why sign up to Pennies and IPOSUP?

Reach new donors

Pennies helps you build income from new givers whom you may not otherwise reach, because they are giving ad hoc, anonymously and when they choose.

New giving

Pennies complements other income streams such as community fundraising and can replace income lost from traditional cash collections – which are facing increasing decline, even more so since Covid-19.

Because micro-donations matter

It has been an extremely challenging year for the UK charity sector, with Covid-19 and the Government lockdowns and restrictions seriously curbing the ability for charities to fundraise – and we understand this. Pennies with IPOSUP could begin the journey to grow a new income channel via consumers who are employing small businesses from home improvements to hobbies and catering.

Alzheimer’s Research UK

Alzheimer’s Research UK

Dementia is not something that just happens to people as they get older, it is caused by physical diseases. A brain with dementia can weigh up to 140g less than a healthy brain, that is about the weight of an orange.

Our Share the Orange film with Samuel L Jackson helps to show that the diseases that cause dementia could be slowed, and ultimately stopped, through research.

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity, dedicated to making life-changing breakthroughs in diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure.

Alzheimer’s Research UK exists to keep people connected to their families, their worlds and themselves for longer. Backed by passionate scientists and supporters, we’re challenging the way people think about dementia, uniting the big thinkers and funding innovative science to deliver a cure.

Hope starts here.

Blind Veterans UK

Blind Veterans UK
…what really gets to you, [is] losing your independence and not being able to do the simple things like making your own cup of tea.” Blind Veteran, Chris

Blind Veterans UK helps ex-Service men and women of every generation rebuild their lives after sight loss. Since 1915 they have supported tens of thousands of blind veterans.

It’s a sad fact that many of the blind veterans they support suffer from social isolation. It happens as we get older and our families leave us, and partners pass away. For people with sight loss, that isolation is all the more painful to bear. Those who can’t see can lose self-belief, and, even worse, their sense of belonging.

Previously simple tasks, like leaving home to go to the shops, or using the phone can now seem impossible. And as each task becomes more difficult, the distance from family and community grows.

Blind Veterans UK are specialists in helping isolated veterans. Giving those who have served our country support that ranges from equipment, rehabilitation and training to practical advice, and vital emotional support.
Their beneficiaries range from National Service veterans who lost their sight later in life due to age-related conditions, to Iraq and Afghanistan veterans blinded on duty. It doesn’t matter when a veteran served or how they lost their sight, the charity is there to provide lifelong support.

By choosing to support them you can help rebuild blind veterans’ lives after sight loss. Away from isolation. Towards a life of fulfilment.

Make-A-Wish UK

Make-A-Wish UK

For poorly children, the worst part is the loss of childhood. You can’t stop that or make it any more pleasant so being able to take them away from that for a moment, a day or a week, makes up for all that they lost. A wish gives them back some childhood.” Becs, Wish Mum

Each day the lives of 10 families in the UK are changed forever when their child is diagnosed with a critical illness. Medical treatment and trips to hospital become the upmost priority, with childhood taking a backseat.

Childhood should be about more than conversations about treatment plans and sleeplessness nights fretting about hospital visits.

Make-A-Wish know that granting wishes is imperative for children with critical illnesses. Wishes bring back joy to families, broaden horizons, build psychological resources and improve wellbeing.

The overall number of children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions has doubled in the last 15 years and will continue to increase over the next decade. Every one of these children should receive a wish.

Samaritans charity

Samaritans is an emotional support charity, there for anyone struggling to cope – every day and night of the year by our helpline 116 123, email, letter or face to face at one of our 201 branches across the UK and ROI. Every seven seconds, someone contacts Samaritans for help. Every year, we answer more than 4.7 million calls for help.
The service is completely free and available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. We are only able to provide this service because we have 20,000 extraordinary people who volunteer their time to run all 201 of our branches. Our volunteers were busy before the pandemic began, supporting people facing all manner of challenges including mental or physical health difficulties, loneliness and isolation, money worries, bereavement, relationship breakdown and addiction.
The pandemic has impacted all our lives in so many ways. Samaritans saw a 15% increase in calls in the first four weeks of lockdown (23rd-29th March). Young people have been anxious about missing education and exams being cancelled, men are losing their informal support networks by not going to the pub or football matches, people with pre-existing mental health conditions are having to wait even longer to access support from the NHS, and many are anxious about their job and financial security. With further waves, these are taking their toll on people’s physical and mental health, relationships, and livelihoods. Samaritans is needed now more than ever.

NSPCC

We are the NSPCC and we’re here to end child abuse, protecting children who are suffering today and preventing abuse from happening tomorrow.

Abuse changes childhood. But, together, so can we. Together we can help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives and find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening. Our Childline service gives young people a voice when no one else will listen. We visit schools across the country, giving children the knowledge they need to stay safe from abuse. And we change the law to make sure our children are better protected.

That’s why we’re here, and that’s why — as long as there’s abuse — we will fight for every childhood. As the UK’s leading children’s charity fighting to end child abuse, we’ve remained committed to this mission for over 100 years.
But every day more children need our help and all our vital work is only possible because of you. As an independent charity we receive around 90% of our funding from supporters and rely on people like you to make sure we can reach even more children.

Every pound you raise will help make sure we can fight for every childhood.

Leducate

Leducate works to promote an understanding of everyday legal rights in young people across England and Wales. In an increasingly legalised world Leducate believes that this kind of education is the key to ensuring that young people integrate into society and their wider community.

Empowering young people to know their rights and their responsibilities in everyday situations can change their future; it can divert some away from a path of debt, prison or social services dependency and make them engaged participants in society at large. Our curriculum and resources provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to become thriving members of society.

Further, Leducate supports those who aspire to forge a career in law, encouraging and supporting them in ambitions they may not have had the confidence to pursue otherwise. Leducate believes that every young person should have the best opportunities in life, and that a good education in the rights and responsibilities given to them by the law is vital in this.

Wilderness Foundation UK

Wilderness Foundation UK (WFUK) works in partnership with its sister foundation Wilderness Foundation Africa (WFA) to implement its conservation work in the sub-Saharan region of Africa; specific wildlife programs that will benefit from this partnership include:

Forever Wild Conservation Programme which was launched in May 2011 as a response to the rhino poaching crisis and has been active through the Rhino Protection Initiative. It is concerned with maintaining populations of free ranging rhino within state and privately managed conservation areas. The campaign supports conservation agencies and organised private game reserves to protect their rhino populations as part of functioning natural ecosystems.

In 2013 the Programme was expanded to include lion, leopard, elephant, and shark conservation initiatives as they represent key species symptomatic of the challenges facing the environments in which they live. By using iconic wildlife species as the flagship to draw attention to challenges facing conservation and wilderness areas across Africa, conservation interventions can be directed towards these species resulting in the protection of landscapes and the associated wildlife including all the biological components which drive these systems. The Forever Wild Conservation Programme will continue to work with both state and privately-owned protected areas to promote effective management, expansion, and innovative means to involve and benefit local communities.

Forever Wild Rhino Protection Initiative; activities are focused on the protection of endangered rhino populations through supporting anti-poaching actions on the ground in organised private and state protected areas who manage key rhino populations (vehicles, cold scent tracker dogs, aerial support, rhino rescue); increasing intelligence, security and law enforcement activities through the Wildlife Operations Group (a multi-agency partnership coordinated by Wilderness Foundation Africa); and increasing public awareness in general
